The entertainment zones organized by Génome Québec under the theme “Biodiversity: Wherever there is life, there is DNA” were a great success. More than 300 people, most of them with their families, participated in the activities, which were offered free of charge last Saturday at the Grand Quai du Port de Montréal as part of the COP15 Public Action Zone.

“It was such a joy to see the little ones’ eyes light up as they engaged in the activities led by our biodiversity enthusiasts,” said Marie-Kym Brisson, Acting President and CEO of Génome Québec. “For the average person, genomics—the study of the information encoded in the DNA of living organisms—is a rather abstract science. Génome Québec has developed a variety of workshops where children and adults alike can touch, look at, and experience the world of the infinitely small.”
