Génome Québec is currently looking for a Digital marketing and Communications Specialist to join its team.

Mandate
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Communications and Marketing, the selected candidate will contribute to the organization’s visibility by developing and implementing communication strategies aligned with its mission and strategic objectives. The incumbent will act as a digital platform specialist (website, social media, newsletters) to promote the organization’s brand image, support stakeholder relations, and ensure consistent and effective communications.
Key responsibilities
Digital Marketing and Communications
- Contribute to the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies, including website and social media initiatives.
- Ensure consistency in visual identity, branding, and communications across all platforms.
- Monitor communication trends and best practices on an ongoing basis and recommend innovative approaches.
- Support communication initiatives related to campaigns, launches, and promotional activities.
Website, Social Media and Digital Content
- Manage and update the website, including content, performance, and security.
- Optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO).
- Develop and manage the social media editorial calendar.
- Create, adapt, and publish a variety of content, including press releases, newsletters, articles, web publications, visuals, and digital content.
- Contribute to the design and deployment of digital advertising campaigns.
Qualifications and requirements
- College diploma or undergraduate university degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and digital tools (WordPress, Canva)
- Proficiency with content management and scheduling tools (i.e. Meta Business Suite)
- Experience managing social media content (LinkedIn, Bluesky, Meta)
- Experience with newsletters and email marketing tools (an asset)
- Knowledge of core digital marketing principles, including search engine optimization (SEO)
- Knowledge of Google Analytics (an asset)
- Knowledge of the scientific environment and experience in life sciences, research, or innovation (an asset)
- Proficiency in French, both spoken and written
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written (in this role, the incumbent will interact with English-speaking contacts in Canada and internationally, and will be required to produce content in English)
