The application is used internally by the technical staff as a LIMS system, tracking all samples processed. It is also the external user interface to access their project data. The application was developed by the bioinformatics team of G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec, and is in constant evolution since 2003.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nanuq is completely customizable and available for installation in any centre or laboratory, needing LIMS tools. It is possible to install only certain parts of the LIMS, like account administration, or LIMS for sample tracking.
