Dr. Roy received his MD from the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al and held a postdoctoral fellowship in tumor immunology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard University. In 1990, Dr. Roy joined the Division of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at H\u00f4pital Maisonneuve-Rosemont as Director of the Cell Therapy Laboratory and Autologous Transplantation Program. Dr. Roy was a member of the Hematology Training Program at the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al and served on the Royal College Examination Board-Hematology for numerous years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">His research interests focus on the immunobiology of stem cell transplantation, and particularly on the treatment of stem cell grafts to eliminate risks of graft rejection and optimize their anti-cancer activity. He has published some 100 original articles and book chapters in prestigious journals and has trained more than fifty-five students, MSc, PhD and post-docs. He has been on numerous scientific review panels, including the Fonds de recherche du Qu\u00e9bec \u2013 Sant\u00e9 (FRQS), the Cancer Research Society, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He currently sits on the Canadian Institutes for Health Research scientific review panel.
