The total investment, including that of public and private partners, amounts to more than $2.5 million as part of the first round of the <em>Genomics integration program \u2013 Agriculture and biofood, forestry and environment<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to St\u00e9phanie Lord-Fontaine, Vice President, Scientific Affairs at G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec, \u201cThis program brings together the major players in the different sectors to promote the application and commercialization of genomics technology. Many of the funded projects will develop innovations to improve the productivity and sustainability of Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s biofood sector, in collaboration with start-ups and SMEs in our ecosystem.
