On January 28, 2019, G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec took part in pre-budget consultations led by the minist\u00e8re des Finances du Qu\u00e9bec.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A submission was tabled. Developed with a focus on wealth creation and economic development, the document aligns with our 2018-2023 strategic plan. It features five recommendations:<\/p>\n

  1. Support the creation and launch of a genomic data centre dedicated to research and clinical applications;<\/li>\n
  2. Support G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec in developing a world-class centre for expertise and services;<\/li>\n
  3. Capitalize on the industrial potential of genomics as a way of increasing competitiveness in key economic sectors;<\/li>\n
  4. Strengthen G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s genomics education mandate;<\/li>\n
  5. Ensure the Qu\u00e9bec government\u2019s continued commitment to G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
