Mrs. D\u2019Amours, who sat on G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s Board of Directors until recently, became the first woman to be named Rector of Universit\u00e9 Laval in April.<\/p>\n<p>Pr. Sylvain Moineau received this honour for his contributions as an eminent microbiologist, particularly in the study of bacteriophages and the systems linked to a genome editing technology. Mr. Moineau is Full Professor at the D\u00e9partement de biochimie, de microbiologie et de bio-informatique of Universit\u00e9 Laval.
