The Minister of Finance, Carlos J. Leit\u00e3o, announced today additional funding of $834 million in support of the forward-looking sector, bringing to $2.5 billion the government\u2019s overall investment over the next five years.<\/p>\n<p>Of that amount, $40 million is earmarked for G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec and its genomics research activities, more specifically in personalized medicine. Also worthy of note were several additional measures dedicated to other innovation sectors, such as sustainable development, forestry and agrifood.
