Qu\u00e9bec City, May 26 2014 \u2013\u00a0The Genomics Center of the Centre de recherche du CHU de\u00a0Qu\u00e9bec, with its high-tech equipment, offering services to over 300 research teams each year,\u00a0was officially inaugurated today. This center enables research professionals from the CHU de\u00a0Qu\u00e9bec, affiliated with the Universit\u00e9 Laval, to maintain and develop their acquired leadership in this\u00a0cutting-edge area of genomics.<\/p>\n
The goal of the center is to\u00a0develop preventive diagnostic tools and treatments for these diseases. The research\u00a0professionals at the Genomics Center are internationally renowned for their expertise,\u00a0specifically in the study of infectious diseases (infectiology), personalized cancer screening and\u00a0for the identification of biomarkers for the early detection of Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n
