The program fosters collaboration between research institutions and Qu\u00e9bec companies to drive innovation and economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accelerate the development of innovative genomics-based innovations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate faster commercialization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhance the competitiveness of Qu\u00e9bec companies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote collaboration between Qu\u00e9bec companies and public research centers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligible Partners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each project must include at least:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A receptor<\/strong>: A Qu\u00e9bec for-profit company (startup, SME or large enterprise) with a clear commercial interest in developing and bringing a research concept or project to market.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A researcher<\/strong>: affiliated with an eligible Qu\u00e9bec institution (university, CCTT, research institute, hospital, or nonprofit organization with an explicit research mandate).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Optional partners<\/strong>: financial partners, co-investigators, collaborators, or others contributing complementary expertise or resources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Funding Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Total project budget<\/strong>: from $300,000 to $900,000 (or more, depending on the project)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Co-funding structure per project<\/strong>:\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Genome Canada<\/strong>: up to one-third (1\/3) of the total project budget. This contribution must be equal to or less than that of the private sector partner(s), and range from $100,000 to $300,000.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Private for-profit sector<\/strong>: a contribution of at least one-third (1\/3) of the total project, in cash and\/or in-kind if incurred in Qu\u00e9bec.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec<\/strong>: up to one-third of eligible expenses in incurred in Qu\u00e9bec, with a contribution ranging from $100,000 to $300,000.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Genome Canada funds may be allocated to the academic partner, as well as to the receptor (up to 20% for Qu\u00e9bec companies with 99 employees or fewer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec funds are allocated exclusively to the academic partner.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Maximum project duration<\/strong>: 2 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All teams must submit a complete application via the G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec <a href=\"https:\/\/genomequebec.my.site.com\/applicant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">application portal<\/a> <strong>by
