{"id":27568,"date":"2023-09-18T09:22:58","date_gmt":"2023-09-18T13:22:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/genomequebec.com\/?post_type=contest&#038;p=27568"},"modified":"2023-12-21T16:32:57","modified_gmt":"2023-12-21T21:32:57","slug":"early-career-researchers-competition-in-genomics-human-health-as-part-of-the-rendez-vous-genome-quebec-2023","status":"publish","type":"contest","link":"https:\/\/genomequebec.com\/en\/ongoing-competitions\/early-career-researchers-competition-in-genomics-human-health-as-part-of-the-rendez-vous-genome-quebec-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Early career researchers competition in genomics &#8211; human health as part of the Rendez-Vous G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec is pleased to announce a call for proposals targeting the next generation in genomics &#8211; health as part of the next Rendez-Vous G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec which will be held on November 7 and 8, 2023 in Montreal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This competition seeks to encourage genomics research amongst young researchers and promote access to G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s technology platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A single $25,000 award is available for a project, or a specific activity aligned with the following objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The proposed project is based on genomics and human health.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The project is focused and likely to advance the knowledge in the field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The prize awarded will be an \u2018\u2019in-kind\u2019\u2019 contribution of $25,000 in services from the G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec Center of Expertise and Services, redeemable during the 2024 calendar year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\">\n<li>Applications can be submitted by:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One early career researcher affiliated since less than 5 years with a public research institution in Qu\u00e9bec (university, college, hospital, or an institution with a research mandate). The researcher may only submit one application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects must be related to human health.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects must propose to use one of the omic technologies offered by the G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec Center of expertise and services (genomic, epigenomic, metagenomic, transcriptomic, etc.), For the complete list: <a href=\"https:\/\/genomequebec.com\/en\/technological-services\/centre-dexpertise-et-de-services-2\/\">Centre d&#8217;expertise et de services | G\u00e9nomeQu\u00e9bec inc.
