This $2 million Funding Opportunity aims to bring researchers and actors from different disciplines and sectors to develop <strong>innovative genomic solutions<\/strong> that support:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Investigation of infections of unknown etiology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identification and characterization of emerging pathogens and antimicrobial resistance (AMR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investigation of zoonotic diseases, including animal reservoirs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Surveillance of pathogens (virus, bacteria, fungi, and parasites) and AMR propagation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more details on the competition requirements, please see the funding opportunity document below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Funding Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research teams will address specific questions that will deliver innovative genomic solutions that support investigation of infections, characterization and surveillance of emerging pathogens and AMR, as well as investigation of zoonotic diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This program will finance projects with a total budget between $300,000 and $800,000 with the contribution of G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec for each approved project ranging from $150,000 to $400,000. Co-funding of these projects will have to be provided by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.genomequebec.com\/DATA\/DOCUMENT\/148_en~v~GENOME_QUEBEC_FINANCIAL_GUIDELINES.pdf\">eligible sources<\/a> so that co-funding is at least equal to the Genome Qu\u00e9bec contribution (1:1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All applicants must submit their application through G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec.
