Next Generation Sequencing
The CES is equipped with the latest next-generation sequencing technologies (Illumina NovaSeq, NextSeq and MiSeq and PacBio). In doing so, the CES has developed expertise in whole genome, exome and targeted region sequencing, epigenome analysis, as well as various applications related to transcriptomics and metagenomics.
The CES provide library preparation services for a wide variety of applications:
- Whole genome sequencing (WGS)
- Exome sequencing (WES)
- RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq)
- Single cell sequencing (scRNA-Seq)
- ChIP-Seq
- Methylome sequencing (Methyl-Seq)
- Targeted region sequencing (Access Array™ from Fluidigm)
- Metabarcoding service
- Amplicon sequencing
Sequencing Technologies:
Sequencing-ready libraries can also be sent for Illumina sequencing.
Reads are delivered in FASTQ format, and BAM files are available for human, rat and mouse samples. Sequences are downloaded directly from Nanuq.
All services include a free initial consultation to discuss experimental design and appropriate technologies for each project. Contact the Client Management Office.
Sanger sequencing
CES also offers Sanger-type DNA sequencing services. With its two Applied Biosystems 3730xl DNA Analyzer instruments and an annual capacity in excess of 1 million high-quality reactions, CES can rapidly sequence PCR products, plasmids, phages and BAC ends, as well as carry out your SNP detection projects. The CES also offers a sequencing service: BaseXpress.
