Montréal, November 9, 2022 – Today, the Génome Québec Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Josette-Renée Landry, PhD, as President and CEO of Génome Québec. She will officially take up the position on January 23, 2023. Josette-Renée is known for her inclusive leadership, scientific acumen, entrepreneurial vision, and communication skills. She will bring more than 20 years of experience in research and innovation, specifically in genomics, precision medicine, and digital intelligence, which are some of Québec’s key sectors.
Josette-Renée is currently CEO of the Institut du Savoir Montfort and Vice President of Research and Education at Hôpital Montfort. She is also the founder of Streamline Genomics, a digital health company that combines precision medicine and artificial intelligence. Josette-Renée has many other roles, including Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine of Université de Montréal and Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Ottawa. Until 2018, she was Vice President of Business Development at Mitacs. Her interest in governance and research has led her to serve on numerous boards and on a variety of academic, industry, and scientific committees.
Josette-Renée holds a PhD in genetics from the University of British Columbia and a certificate in bioinformatics, and she completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Cambridge University in England. Her research interests include health services, the identification and interpretation
