As early as 1982, with her solid training as a historian, Jennifer Stoddart distinguished herself by publishing, within the Clio collective, the book L’histoire des femmes au Québec depuis quatre siècles. In the 2000s, she was able to reframe the right to privacy, having served with authority and effectiveness as President of the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, and then as Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Since 2014, she has been co-chair of several working committees of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
