Montréal, September 26, 2017 -The Chairman of the Génome Québec Board, Martin Godbout, is proud to announce the appointment of five new board members to its Board of Directors:

– Jean-François Ethier, M.D., CM, PhD, FRCPC
Clinical Research and Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, Université de Sherbrooke
– Paul Lepage, B. Eng., MBA, Dr h.c.
President, TELUS Health and Payment Solutions and Chairman of the Board, TELUS Ventures
– Sylvain Moineau, Ph D, MSRC
Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Bio-informatics, Université Laval
– Jennifer Stoddart, O.C., Ad. É.
Invited Scholar, Centre of Genomics and Policy, McGill University
Recognized for their extensive experience and their professionalism in sectors such as agricultural economics, information technology, communications, medical research, life sciences and public policies on privacy, the new board members will contribute to the strategic development and integration of genomics among multiple end users, while supporting Génome Québec in its efforts to drive the economic development of Québec.
“The exceptional individuals who have joined our Board of Directors will help us maximize the potential of genomics research and rise to the challenge of its integration for the public good. Through diverse experiences and innovative visions, we are moving forward with our agenda of consolidating Génome Québec’s position in our areas of interest, which are health, agrifood, forestry and the environment,” explained Martin Godbout.
