Daniel Coderre, President and CEO of Génome Québec, is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Blondin, PhD, to the position of Vice President, Technology Centres. Mr. Blondin has all the necessary assets to exceed the objectives of the centres and ensure the competitive use of technological resources operated by Génome Québec. The decision was ratified by the Board of Directors on September 21, 2021. He will assume his position on October 18, 2021.

From 2003 to 2021, Mr. Blondin acquired the bulk of his experience in research and development with Boviteq, a provider of genetic reproductive solutions in animal health. From 2018 until recently, he served as Vice President, Research and Innovation. He holds a PhD in Animal Health at Université Laval and completed a postdoctoral internship at North Carolina State University. He has also authored 80 scientific articles. Recognized for his bold vision and strategic capabilities, Mr. Blondin is a seasoned manager who has been able to successfully combine his scientific expertise with his business development skills in the area of strategic partnerships and operations management. In recognition of his accomplishments, he received the Célébrons le Partenariat award from ADRIQ.
