Génome Québec congratulates Pr. Adrian Tsang’s team, whose research will be funded as part of the Genomic Applications Partnership Program (GAPP).
Thanks to this funding, Pr. Tsang, in collaboration with Elanco, will be able to continue his research, which aims at scaling back the use of antibiotics in farm animals in order to reduce the development of drug-resistant microbes.
This funding has been confirmed this morning, as part of the announcement by the Ministry of Science of a federal funding for five new projects under the GAPP. This Canada-wide competition, launched by Genome Canada in 2013 to encourage partnerships between university researchers and industry users, is now in its 8th round.
