On behalf of all Génome Québec Board Members and employees, Anie Perrault, Chair of the Board, would like to mark the retirement of Daniel Coderre, who has served as president and CEO since September 2016. During his tenure, Daniel helped to make Génome Québec a respected organization that is recognized for its scientific excellence, its rigorous governance and its vision for the strategic development and positioning of genomics in Québec.

Since the position of president and CEO is being vacated, a recruitment process has been conducted over the past few months. High-quality applications were received and rigorously assessed by a selection committee. A successor has been found and will be taking up the position on January 23, 2023. The official announcement will be made in the coming weeks.

In the interim, the Board of Directors has entrusted the responsibilities of the position of president and CEO to Marie-Kym Brisson, Vice President of Strategic Development and Public Affairs at Génome Québec since 2009. Marie-Kym is an experienced manager and strategist with a passion for public affairs and communications. She has 30 years of experience in research and innovation (including in life sciences), finance and politics. Her impressive track record includes numerous accomplishments in sectors affected by various socio-political issues, both in Québec and Canada.
